ART ON SILK

Fiber: Hi, I live in central Texas. I paint on silk, using a variety of silk fabrics depending on intended style and use. The process itself of silk painting is exciting to me, and I like to try out different techniques and ideas. I love the way the colors flow and mix on silk and what that lets me create. I find silk to be a wonderful medium to work with. I am inspired by nature, colors, light, and in general by what I see and experience in life. Arts and crafts have always been a significant part of my life. I have also continuously attended art classes as part of my formal and professional education. Later, I taught art. I often make wearable art. Silk feels soft and even soothing. Silk clothes are warm in cold weather and cool in warm weather. Aside from that I make silk gift bags of many sizes, wall hangings, and pictures. I hope you will like my blog. Thanks for reading, Fiber.
